Barton Mine Garnet

Those of us who have been around for a while have all seen or heard of the abundant, very large Garnets from Gore Mountain and other mines in that part of the Adirondacks. But have you ever wondered what goes on in those tight little places you can't see into ? You're in luck. At the next club meeting (May 21), Dr. Robert Darling will talk with us about "The Microscopic World of Adirondack Garnet". Please join us for a fascinating presentation by this Distinguished Teaching Professor of Geology at SUNY Cortland.

Our club meets on the 3rd Monday, September thru November and January thru June.
Jr Rockhounds Meet at 6:30 PM followed by the Regular Club Meeting at 7:30 PM.
Club meetings and educational activities are held in our Club House
Suites 14 & 15 at Ponderosa Plaza, 209 Oswego St, Liverpool, NY (near Heid's)
